What's the difference between pressed and loose powder?

Loose powder has been air spun but in my opinion lasts longer, if you buy Coty or something like that.





Pressed powder is tightly packed, and women really can't carry loose powder in a purse as it can spill.What's the difference between pressed and loose powder?
Pressed powder is in a compact, and people most often use it for more full coverage, like a foundation.


Loose powder is like in a container that you apply with a brush, such as bare minerals.


I personally prefer loose over pressed, it helps set my makeup :)

pressed powder is not as messy as loose powder, plus it's in a smaller compact but, in my opinion loose powder is better absorbed into oily skin and gives a more 'airbrushed' look than pressed
Pressed powder is pressed and comes in a compact and loose powder comes in a jar and is...er...loose lol (ie you can spill it :p) Once it's on your face i think it's pretty much the same
