What is translucent powder & is there any difference between them &loose powders?

I'm going to try doing my makeup for the first time and I'm wondering what to use on my liquid foundation.what type of loose powder shud I use? What is translucent powder %26amp; is there any difference between them %26amp;loose powders?
Translucent powder has no real color so you can use it with any shade of foundation or skin color. It has a little shimmer to it. Unless you have oily skin, you really don't need face powder. It will give you a matte look. Usually translucent powder is loose not pressed. Go to a Prescriptives counter at a dept. store for the best advice. Their foundation matches your skin exactly. What is translucent powder %26amp; is there any difference between them %26amp;loose powders?
Translucent simply means that you can see through it. It's not as heavy as other powders and is usually loose. You can use either.

Powder is used to help absorb oil, so you can skip it if you're using a mattifying foundation or don't have oily skin. Often the only places you need to use powder is on the T Zone since it's oiler than the rest of the face.

Make sure you get the right type of liquid foundation for your skin type. Do don't want an oil control formula if you have dry skin.

To get the best application of liquid foundation, use a clean foundation brush (available at most beauty supply shops) and ';paint'; the foundation on. The brushes really make a difference
Translucent powder is made to help if you have shiney skin. Losse powder usally have a tint to them and you need to match it to your skin tone. Whatever brand of foundation you use you should find the powder to match it!
