What is the best translucent loose powder out there that stays on like ou have nothing on and will absorb oil.

I want to know is there a translucent poweder out there that will go on like you have nothing on. At the same time absorb oil for all day wear. I currently use MAC. It seems to work good. Any other ones that you know of?What is the best translucent loose powder out there that stays on like ou have nothing on and will absorb oil.
Face powders are one of the few products where price doesn't necessarily mean the best. To make your powder stay requires proper preparation and application. Use a moisturizer and foundation that suits your skin first. Then use a large brush to sweep your loose powder on, tap the brush lightly on the powder box to remove the surplus powder . This will stop too much powder going onto your face. Sweep the brush from the top of your head downwards. To maintain your look as long as possible use a fine spray such as an atomiser filled with rose water or mineral water and spray lightly. This will set your powder.

Success will depend upon your complexion - oily skin will mean less staying power and how hot it is - you can't stop perspiration. To touch up, take a tissue and split it so that it is just single thickness and use this to blot any excess oil. That should be all you need to do, but you can also get blotting paper such as MAC or at Bodyshop to help repair.

As for products, I'd recommend going to the make up counters and finding out what suits you as we are all different and what works for one person may not work for another. Also having a makeover is fun! I use MAC as well and like it. There is also Lancome Loose powder or estee lauder but it will be more pricey.
Bare Minerals. I love it!!
Mary Kay Dual-Coverage Foundation
Mac blot poweder is the BEST
MAC Invisible Set Powder (only available at MAC Pro... you can call them and order it from the closest Pro store). Also the trusty MAC Blot Powder is also great!
Try Merle Norman. Hard to find a store sometimes, though. Mac IS one of the best, so good luck.
